Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Sara Ramirez was brought up by an American mother, and faced a lot racial taunts that caused her to feel uncomfortable. When she attended a 9th grade school audition in which she was praised for her voice, she started to build confidence. She not only gained confidence from the experience and gained experience, but also changed her plans for her career. At the age of 22, she received her degree from at the Julliard School of New York. At the age of 23 she began her career making her debut on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot receiving not just the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC the show, she received more recognition. Apart from being an acclaimed singer she also released her own solo album as well as an extended version. She is an activist who is a tireless advocate in the cause of LGBT equality.
