Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and writer who was awarded numerous prizes. She is renowned for her movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). The Getaway was released in 1972. New York, she was born and raised into an artistic family. In the beginning she began as an assistant to photographers. Then her work changed towards modeling and directing. MacGraw was noticed in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international hit, earning her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three years, MacGraw was ranked as the most popular female box-office starter in the world. Her handprints as well as her signature were inscribed at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is divorced three times.
