Her childhood was a turbulent one. She was just two when she was abandoned by her mother to get away from the abusive marriage. Pickler's mother returned in 1995 back to her home and was given complete charge of the child. It didn't go according to was planned. When Pickler was 12years old, the court transferred her to her maternal grandparents who brought her up to adulthood. Pickler was unable to parent her children when they were absent.
