Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler June 28, 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. When she was two the mother of her fled from an abusive relationship. They helped the girl into adulthood. Pickler had to be busy with her younger siblings in the absence of her parents. She confessed that, in the absence of her parents Pickler was too busy to go to school. She instead began in the process of learning to look after her family at an earlier stage. Pickler participated in the cheerleading teams at both her high school and middle school. North Stanly High School graduated her in 2004. Pickler was also an beauty contestant.
